During a busy schedule it is best to refresh with nature especially if you are with friends and family. Planning for a hiking at Sanchez Peak to enjoy the weekend with the people you’ve cherish creating memories together, you’ve come to the right place!

Being the highest peak in city (243.84 meters above sea level) located in the boundary of Barangays Conel and Olympog of General Santos City, Sanchez Peak offers you the a panoramic view of the city during day and a movie like scene at night when city lights like a starry night sky, land the nearby deep green mountains of Mt. Matumtum and Mt. Parker as well as Sarangani Bay and if you are lucky enough can experience a majestic cloud formations early in the morning.

There are three leading trails going to Sanchez Peak the Balakayo trail which is perfect for beginners for it is the easiest trail among the three but also the longest, no need for a guide since it’s an established trail already. Balsinang trail may be the shortest but it’s the most difficult trail. And the Tukanop trail which was also considered as one of the more difficult trails.

Nothing much can be done at the peak instead of taking pictures, however you can create fun activities with your friends like singing together to make the experience more worth it as you’ll get to see also the stunning picturesque place while in joying the breeze of fresh air. A perfect place to unwind and escape the busy life in the city but make sure that no work is waiting for you the next day as it will be a tiresome weekend that all you want to do will sleep and rest for an entire day.
